Before It is over

Well Santa did not get my letter in time to put the sultry eyed Rock-Star under my tree, "SIGH" maybe next year. Until then I will leave him here in my blog for future reference and eye candy!!
Morgan had a great Christmas she really took a liking to all the wrapping paper she could eat. The over abundance of toys left her in a state of shock so she just played with the boxes. In every house we went to visit if there were stairs to climb or lights to touch she was there. What a difference a year makes from last year sitting on the couch cuddling a formula induced nap to now a bouncing, walking, talking gotta go toddler GEEZ!!
My holiday started off Friday with the work Christmas party, we eat and play Texas Hold'em for the afternoon. Then it was on to a dinner party (the food was melt.in.your.mouth.delicious!) hosted by my leaders of a Bible study husband/wife team. The dinner was a Christmas celebration as well as a farewell to the group well at least until we start our own "new" bible study groups. Our fearless leaders our taking their show on the road and heading for NYC to start a new chapter in our church, God has a calling for them in a totally groovy way and we wish them the best of luck and tons of prayer as they embark on their journey in the New Year.
Saturday Morgan and I relaxed and got ready for my little sisters 21st birthday party at Dave & Busters where Morgan got to play on the stairs leading into the bar where after 2 hours of removing her from the scene only to throw a tantrum to go back to the scene we left and went home and to bed!
Sunday we attended the service for church which is always awesome and left me in tears of joy for our greatest gift from God the birth of the Messiah!!
Monday off to Grandmothers house we go less the horse drawn sleigh through the snow. The house feels so small now that I am older and half of my cousins are bigger than me and they have boyfriends and girlfriends. We were over loaded with no plan for an emergency exit if one were to happen by the more than filled capacity outlet that was heating the 4 crock-pots on the counter. It was fun and nice to see everyone for a couple hours and eat more than my share of cookies and Morgan ate so much fruit her diaper smelled like a juice box.
Tuesday morning we woke like we do every morning and cuddled in bed while Morgan drinks her bottle, just her and I and the humming of the monitor still on next to us on the night stand. When she finished we ventured to the living room where Santa had left more goodies to open, all of which she would walk over to the doggie to show her everything she got. We had breakfast and played with all her new toys. SD came by later in the morning to pick Morgan up to take her to his parents house to open gifts. Later I met up with him to get the baby back so I could attend his Uncles(less the SD) Christmas party and exchange gifts with Morgan's cousins.
That is pretty much how the holiday excitement went for us, hope you and yours had a safe and happy season. I am looking forward to the New Year, how about you???

Dear Santa,

I have been a really, really, REALLY, good girl this year.
Please bring him to me wrapped in just a bow!
No gift receipt is necessary because it is just enough to look at him.

Love, Momma

My dear young sister and I were having a conversation last night on the way home from the store it involved sitcoms now on DVD, it went a little something like this;

me - oh yeha like what?
sis - like older movies and shows from wwwaaaayyy back, like I never heard of and maybe you have "Welcome Back Cooter" or something like that?
me- Kotter
sis - what? I don't know it looks really old, it says John Trovolta is in it
me - Kotter you mean Welcome Back Kotter
sis - oh that makes more sense HA! followed by uncontrolled giggling all the way home
me - of course it does
Welcome Back, welcome back,welcome bbbaaaacckkk!

Christmas Muse

I have spent the last two nights trying to take Christmas pictures of a 13 month old. If you don't know how crazy a situation like this can be, let me tell ya try to wrestle a 16 pound wet seal covered in Vaseline, make it pose just long enough for the camera battery to catch up and adjust to focus only to miss the cute smile before the quick turn away glance only to find the flash didn't go off. THIS IS WHY DRINKING is encouraged on Christmas Day!! All the time and energy you spend to get just the right shot for family and friends should be well rewarded.
Before the display of pictures you will not see in your Christmas card from US let me explain why you will not see the dog(and I mean the real dog not the ex) in the photo. I had every intention on a cute loving embrace of dear daughter sitting in front of the tree with the dog. When I called the dog over she thought it was cutier to tip the baby out of the chair into the Christmas tree knocking the bottom branches out and babies legs in the air while licking my face more enjoyable.(no this was not caught on film) So the dog was cut from the scene and may not be back well not until I let her back in the house.
On with the show....Let's start by cute intentions chair with sleigh (instead of dog)
followed by this shoe must go.......where is the other shoe?
then let's try sitting cute baby in the sleigh........big smile but look at MOMMY!look at Mommy with eyes OPEN!............Ok fine here is your Christmas card picture...............Happy Holidays!

Winter Itch

What is the elbow good for? and how does it end up so dry that it itches like crazy and screams for attention at the weirdest time(9:53am)????
"LOTION........I need attention you lazy wench you spend to much time shaving your legs, clearly which is why I am going to crack and itch like hell under the long sleeve you choose to put me in this morning!"
