Snuggle Me

It has been 18 months today since I brought into my world the most angelic human being possible. For 451 mornings give or take a few because we were apart, I have removed Morgan from her crib and out of a peaceful rest to give her a morning bottle and snuggle with me in my bed. I just want to tell everyone how ALL 451 of those mornings have been the best mornings I have ever experienced. It has to be hands down the best feeling in the world. This tiny human who has changed my morning routine in more ways than she will ever know, has given me faith, hope, and love. This bonding time with my daughter brings a smile to my heart and a tear to my eye. To think I have been blessed to be able to hold from the beginning of her 5 lb 8oz life in the world to the whole 17lbs she is now, to have the ability to nourish her body and smell her hair, feel the warmth of her touch, and see the way her eyes open to find me in the dim morning light, is the best part of being a Mom. To whisper and tell her how much I Love Her(to pieces and bits and bits) and listen for her response and she whispers a-woh-u (i love you) is the most heart felt baby talk that will ever touch my ears.
Before I became pregnant with Morgan I remember sitting in my doctors office and in the patient room there is a tiny plaque with a simple free hand drawing of a mother holding a baby and a raised heart in the middle of the drawing. The plaque reads "with tiny hands a child touches your heart" and I can remember looking at that plaque in hopes of feeling that bold statement with such little words. Little did I know the impact a child of my own would have in my life the feeling is so much greater than I would have ever wished.
Morgan you came into my life when I needed you most and although God has only given you to me on loan I intended to cherish every moment with you, and hold you with the greatest appreciation and respect a gift should have. You are my angel here on earth and you bring much love to my heart, more than you will ever know.
